I follow you, you follow me.
This weeks question:
What were some of your favorite picture books as a kid?
If you have kids, what are your favorites to read to them?
One of my favorite picture books which I have shared with my kids is:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
by
Eric Carle
I love the way he eats his way through piles of food and then morphs into a beautiful Butterfly at the end.
When I read this book to my kids, I use my finger to animate the caterpillar. I even draw a face. They love it.

Hopping through. Can you believe I've never read Very Hungry Caterpillar. Even though it's a classic.

ReplyDeleteI was probably the only kid alive NOT obsessed with Eric Carle, or whose parents weren't anyways. Don't think I even read that one more than once maybe as a kid! :( Plenty of other favorites though and what a super cute story about how you tell it to your kids! Old follower passing through.

The Hungry C is a good one. I like when it gets to all the little individual flaps w/the fruits. And my kidlet likes to play w/the holes. =)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen The Hungry Caterpillar on this hop yet - but boy does it bring back memories! I loved it, great pick!

I remember this one from when my younger brother was small. Great book! And I love that you animate the caterpillar for your kids! When my cousins and I were young I would read out loud to them and I had to give my characters voices. I called it reading with "spression" LOL! Have a great weekend Marilyn!!
