My New Years Resolution is to keep on blogging and maybe add a few more posts which include reviews.

 

In the writing department, it is my hope to release the sequel to Mystery Falls - Mystery Rises - before mid-year. It is also my ambition to make them both available in paperback form.

My Swoon for this week comes from the third book in the series I'm currently reading - Renegade Angels

 

First - the book - A Caress of Wings (Renegade Angels #1.5) by Sylvia Day 

 

Author of "Bared to You" and "A Hunger So Wild "Sylvia Day takes us into a shadowy underworld, where a powerful angel breaks all the rules by falling for the mortal whose life she's saved... Second - The Swoon worthy moment:

 

"Trevor." Her voice was husky.

 

Damn it. Getting turned on now was only going to freak her out more. "Yes?"

 

She moved so fast he couldn't follow her. One minute she was about a yard away, and the next, she was pressed up against him and kissing him with passionate inexperience, her soft lips closed as she mashed them against his.

 

He caught her up with a groan, lifting her feet from the floor, his tongue sliding along the seam of her lips until they opened with a gasp and let him inside. He licked into her mouth, stroking into the warmly sweet recesses, his mind reeling with the headiness of her flavor and the feel of her surprisingly lush body in his arms.

 

Lust exploded through him in a potent rush...

 

 

Third - I have to say that I'm really enjoying this series. Sylvia writes in a way that captivates you right from the start.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 Stars. And once again, I warn that this series is for a more mature audience due to some of it's explicit content.

I didn't post a Tease last week because of all the festivities.

 

To make up for that, this week, I'm posting several Teasers -

all from a book I just completed.

 

 

First - the book: A Dark Kiss of Rapture (A Renegade Angels Novella #0.5) by Sylvia Day
 

 

Of all the Fallen, Raze's hungers are some of the darkest and most insatiable. His brazen seductions cost him his wings, leaving him soulless and immortal, the most dangerous of seducers. Second - The Teasers:

 

Lifting his glass, he wet his lips, absently noting the building heat in his blood. Not his type, but he wanted her. "I'm not what you want. Not tonight."

"You're out of my league." But he was beginning to think that wouldn't be enough to stop him.

 

She grinned, which belied her hands-off appearance and made her sweetly approachable. "So earn me. I won't mind the effort, I assure you."

Swallowing her gasp, Raze slipped his arms around her, stroking his hands up her spine and moulding her slender body to his. Her duffel bag hit the floor and her hands came up, one holding the back of his head while the other cupped his cheek.

 

The tender, encompassing nature of the embrace startled him even as it soothed the ragged edges of his volatile mood. He lifted her feet from the floor, tilting his head to get a deeper seal. His tongue stroked into her mouth, finding the taste of cinnamon and her own natural sweetness. He groaned, ravenous for her, but unwilling to devour. He'd thought he needed hard and fast. She'd thought she needed that too. They'd both been wrong.

 

 

Third - My Opinion:

 

This was a prequel to A Touch of Crimson which I read several weeks earlier. I probably should have read them in sequence... but no matter. Being a Novella, it was quite fast paced and easy to read in one sitting. I  really enjoyed the story (4/5 Stars), but I should warn, this series is probably more suited to a mature audience due to some of it's adult content. Some scenes are quite graphic in their description.
