Book Boyfriend of the Week #21 ~ Aiden St Delphi from The Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about there book boyfriends and tease the readers with things they've said.

Want to participate?

Then all you have to do is:

1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.
2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.
3) Pick a quote from his book, long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is.
4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises).
5) Share it! And shout it out using the #Reading and Things.

This week I would like you to meet:

Aiden St. Delphi

Aiden is all kinds of yummy.
He is tall, dark, and incredibly good looking.
(Hot is putting it mildly)
He's intelligent, kind, considerate, caring, sweet and highly protective.
And he is a total bad-ass when it comes to fighting daimons.

Teaser 1

“Hey,” I reached out and tapped the hand that rested next to my left leg. “you are--”

The hand that I tapped reached up and clasped mine. I froze as he threaded his finders through mine.“I’m what?”

Beautiful. Kind. Patient. Perfect. I said none of those things. Instead, I stared at his fingers, wondering if he knew he was holding my hand. “You’re always so….”

His thumb moved over the top of my hand. The balm made his fingers cool and smooth. “What?”

I looked up, and I was immediately snared. His stare, his soft touch along my hand was doing very strange things. I felt hot and dizzy, like I’d been out in the sun all day. All I could think about was how his hand felt on mine. Then, what his hand would feel like on other parts. I shouldn't be thinking that at all. Aiden was a pure.

Teaser 2 & 3

"Ever since I've met you, I've wanted to break every rule.” Aiden turned away, the muscles in his neck tensing. He sighed. “You’ll become the center of someone’s world one day. And he’ll be the luckiest son of a bitch on this earth.”

* * *

Aiden grabbed my arm, pulling me right against his chest. The unexpected contact fried my brain. “If I was like every other pure-blood, I would have had you by now, without even thinking about the consequences for you. Every day is a struggle not to be like them.”

Yeah, totally yummy?

Okay!
Now it's your turn. Who's your current book crush for this week? Please leave a link below.

My Swoon for this week comes from:

Elixir
(Covenant #3.5)

by
Jennifer L. Armentrout

First - The Blurb:

Aiden St. Delphi will do anything to save Alex.
Even if it means doing the one thing he will never forgive himself for.
Even if it means making war against the gods.

Second - The Swoon:

My lips curved into a smile for her—always for her. “Do you believe in love?”

“Yes,” she said without hesitation. “Do you?”

“I do.” My hands slid to her shoulders and she shivered. “I believe in love.”

Thick lashes fanned her cheeks again and a grin tipped her lips. “I think I am in love.”

Six words stopped my heart when facing down a horde of daimons couldn't.

She bit her lip and a faint blush stained her cheeks. “I feel it in here,” she said, placing her hand against her chest and then against her stomach, “and here. It’s like there’s not enough air or room inside me.
That I may… burst out of my skin or drown in it, and that wouldn't be a bad thing. I don’t know why I feel this way, but I always have… and will.” She tipped her chin up and her entire face was a rosy color. “It’s
you. I… I love you.”

Heart pounding, I swept her against me in a fierce hug, lifting her off her feet. Her giggle was smothered but light. I buried my face in her hair. “I love you, Alex, always you.”

Elixir is told from Aiden's POV. I thoroughly enjoyed getting inside his head and seeing things from his side even though it is quite heart wrenching at times. Especially when he has to make tough decisions regarding Alex.

My Tease for this week comes from:

Deity

(Covenant #3)

by
Jennifer L. Armentrout

First - The Blurb:

"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "

Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

Second - My Tease:

I lifted up, staring down a t him and opened my mouth to say something that probably would've ruined the moment, but I never had a chance. Aiden's hand found the nape of my neck and pulled me down. His lips met mine, and like every time before, there was this indefinable spark that coursed through us. He made a sound against my lips, kissing me harder and harder.

He pulled back just enough so that his lips brushed mine when he spoke. "I can't keep pretending that I don't want this - that I don't want you. I can't. Not after what happened to you. I thought... I thought I'd lost you, Alex, forever. And I would've lost everything. You are my everything.

Many emotions rode in me all at once - awe, hope, and love. So much love that everything outside of us vanished in that instant. "This... this is what you've been trying to tell me."

"It's what I've always wanted to tell you, Alex." He sat up, bringing me along with him. "I've always wanted this with you."

This is without a doubt, my most favorite scene in the series so far. If you have read Deity, then you will probably know why. If you haven't, then OMG, you really need to get into this series.

My Rating on this one: 5 out of 5

TBR Tuesday #28 ~ Crash Into You by Katie McGarry

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'. And look at the lovely personalized banner she created for me.

Thanks Sharrice. It's awesome!

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

Crash Into You
(Pushing the Limits #3)

by
Katie McGarry

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

After reading the first two in this series and loving them both, I just had to get this one. Can't wait to read it.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
On your blog (and be sure to leave a link) tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
