My Swoon for this week comes from:

Take Me On
(Pushing the Limits #4)

by
Katie McGarry

First - The Blurb:

Acclaimed author Katie McGarry returns with the knockout new story of two high school seniors who are about to learn what winning really means.

Champion kickboxer Haley swore she'd never set foot in the ring again after one tragic night. But then the guy she can't stop thinking about accepts a mixed martial arts fight in her honor. Suddenly, Haley has to train West Young. All attitude, West is everything Haley promised herself she'd stay away from. Yet he won't last five seconds in the ring without her help.

West is keeping a big secret from Haley. About who he really is. But helping her-fighting for her-is a shot at redemption. Especially since it's his fault his family is falling apart. He can't change the past, but maybe he can change Haley's future.

Hayley and West have agreed to keep their relationship strictly in the ring. But as an unexpected bond forms between them and attraction mocks their best intentions, they'll face their darkest fears and discover love is worth fighting for.

Second - The Swoon(s):

Well, Katie has done it again. Take Me On is the 4th installment in the Pushing the Limits series and is just as awesome as its predecessors.

Haley is a champion kick boxer, who due to a tragic event she's afraid to divulge, has lost faith and now sees herself as weak and incapable.

“I feel small against him, fragile. Like he's realized the secret I've hidden: that I'm breakable, if not already broken.”

West is young, impulsive and seriously in love with Haley.

“I'm in love with you. I'm in love with you and I don't know how to make you feel better. I'm in love with you and I shouldn't be. I'm in love with you and once you figure out who I am, you're not going to love me. I'm in love with you and I seem to fuck up the ones who love me back.”

Alone, they are lost. Together they discover they can survive almost anything.

“We're strong together, Haley. Stronger then we are apart."
"I don't feel strong," I whisper.
"Then I'll be strong enough for both of us."
My fingers dig into his shoulders and I cling to him.
"I love you.

I loved meeting Haley and West and reading their story. If you enjoyed the first three books in this series then you won't be disappointed.

My rating: 5 out of 5

Waiting on Wednesday #2 ~ Breaking the Rules (Pushing the Limits #1.5) by Katie McGarry

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week I’m waiting on:

Breaking the Rules
(Pushing the Limits #1.5)

by
Katie McGarry

Expected publication: December 8th 2014

A summer road trip changes everything in this unforgettable new tale from acclaimed author Katie McGarry

For new high school graduate Echo Emerson, a summer road trip out west with her boyfriend means getting away and forgetting what makes her so... different. It means seeing cool sights while selling her art at galleries along the way. And most of all, it means almost three months alone with Noah Hutchins, the hot, smart, soul-battered guy who’s never judged her. Echo and Noah share everything — except the one thing Echo’s just not ready for.

But when the source of Echo’s constant nightmares comes back into her life, she has to make some tough decisions about what she really wants — even as foster kid Noah’s search for his last remaining relatives forces them both to confront some serious truths about life, love, and themselves.

Now, with one week left before college orientation, jobs and real life, Echo must decide if Noah's more than the bad-boy fling everyone warned her he'd be. And the last leg of an amazing road trip will turn... seriously epic.

I just recently finished reading Take Me On (which will feature on tomorrows post) and absolutely loved it. Can't wait to read this one. Shame its release date is still a few months away.

My Tease for this week comes from:

Misbehaving
(Sea Breeze #6)

by
Abbi Glines

First - The Blurb:

An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world.

Second - The Tease:

“In that moment I knew nothing was more important to me than keeping this woman safe and taken care of. I loved her. I hadn't expected that, but it had happened. She'd become my world”
...Jason

I first met Jason in Breathe (Sea Breeze 1). The brother of a rock star, he kind of stayed hidden in the shadows until Abbi finally let him tell his own story. I loved reading how he fell in love with Jess, the town bad girl. Like with many relationships, it started off a bit rocky, but eventually, they figured it out. A cute read. One I thoroughly enjoyed.

TBR Tuesday #64 ~ Connected By The Sea (Hawaiian Crush #1) by E.L. Todd

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

Connected By The Sea
(Hawaiian Crush #1)

by
E.L. Todd

Living in paradise, Sydney loves her job, her friends, and her passion for marine biology. Her best friend, Henry, has an invested interest in her, but Sydney never seems to notice. While Henry is the perfect man, she only dates the wrong guys. Her ex-boyfriend cheated on her, broke her heart, and now she’s too shattered to give anyone a chance.

Until Coen…

A sexy bad boy with a tattoo, he elicits dark desires Sydney hasn’t felt in so long. His intense eyes, the color of the sea, capture her sight, making it impossible to look away. She tries to avoid him, knowing he’s no good for her, but Coen, who always gets what he wants, doesn’t take no for an answer.

Will Sydney regret this decision? Or will she find what’s been missing her entire life? The family she lost, the loves she misses, and the trust she never thought she could have for someone else?

I saw this one a while back on Amazon. Admittedly, it was the cover which initially caught my attention, but it was the blurb which convinced me to one-click it.
Now I just need to work it into my reading schedule.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!

Leave a comment and tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
