My Swoon for this week comes from:

If You Leave
(Beautifully Broken #2)
by
Courtney Cole

First - The Blurb:

26-year old Gabriel Vincent is a badass hero. Or he used to be, anyway. As an ex-Army Ranger, Gabe never thought he needed anyone. But after one horrible night in Afghanistan scars him in a way that he can't get past, he needs someone who can help him heal...even if he doesn't realize it.

25-year old Madison Hill doesn't need anybody...or so she thinks. She grew up watching her parents' messed-up abusive relationship and she knows there's no way in hell that she's ever letting that happen to her.

They don't know it in the beginning, but Gabriel and Madison will soon develop a weakness: Each other.

But Gabriel's got a secret, a hidden monster that he's afraid Maddy could never overcome... And Maddy's got issues that she's afraid Gabe will never understand. They quickly realize that they need each other to be whole, but at the same time they know that they've got demons to fight.

And the problem with demons is that they never die quietly.

Second - The Swoon:

Finally.

Her tongue slips into my mouth and she tastes like Heaven, like an icy drink of water at the end of a hot day in the desert. Our tongues tangle together and her lips consume mine. I find myself instantly rock-hard and she notices.

She smiles against my lips. "I think you liked that."

"What gave me away?" I ask with a grin.

I read If You Stay (Book 1) a few weeks back and thoroughly enjoyed it. So naturally, I wanted to move onto the next book in the series... If You Leave.

Gabe... what can I say, I found his story heartbreaking. What he experienced while he was deployed in Afghanistan and the the dark memories he came home with may have been written as fiction, but undoubtedly, touch on reality. A reality few of us would ever want to face.

Maddy... although not a hero of war, she too, is struggling with a dark past and decisions she made out of loyalty rather than desire.

When these two meet, they seem like an unlikely match. However, as the story unfolds and their lives become entwined, it soon becomes apparent just how good they are for each other.

Once again, Courtney has written a beautiful story which will tug at your heartstrings and keep you enthralled from beginning to end.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

Waiting on Wednesday #13 ~ Inspire (The Muse #1) by Cora Carmack

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week I’m waiting on:

Inspire
(The Muse #1)
by
Cora Carmack

Expected publication: December 15th 2014

Kalliope lives with one purpose.

To inspire.

As an immortal muse, she doesn’t have any other choice. It’s part of how she was made. Musicians, artists, actors—they use her to advance their art, and she uses them to survive. She moves from one artist to the next, never staying long enough to get attached. But all she wants is a different life— a normal one. She’s spent thousands of years living lie after lie, and now she’s ready for something real.

Sweet, sexy, and steady, Wilder Bell feels more real than anything else in her long existence. And most importantly… he’s not an artist. He doesn’t want her for her ability. But she can’t turn off the way she influences people, not even to save a man she might love. Because in small doses, she can help make something beautiful, but her ability has just as much capacity to destroy as it does to create. The longer she stays, the more obsessed Wilder will become. It’s happened before, and it never turns out well for the mortal.

Her presence may inspire genius.

But it breeds madness, too.

Fortunately with December 15th not too far away I don't have long to wait. And if I'm good, then maybe Santa will include it in his santa sack.

So what are you waiting for?
Please leave a comment below with your WoW link!
Thanks in advance for stopping by!

My Tease for this week comes from:

Crossing the Line
(World Apart #1)
by
Nicola Marsh

First - The Blurb:

Laying it all on the line for love…

Mia Cresswell is tired of being good.
Achieving geek status at college doesn’t equate with fun. So when she heads home to her dad’s tennis academy in Santa Monica on spring break, she’s determined to be bad. And hot Aussie tennis star Kye Sheldon is just the guy to help her do it.

However, Kye’s troubled past continues to dog him and attending the Cresswell Tennis Academy is his last chance at the big time. He can’t afford to screw up…by screwing the boss’s daughter.
But Mia and Kye’s relationship is much more than a vacation fling.
Will it be game, set, match, when the truth is revealed?
Or will Mia and Kye have a real shot at love all?

Second - The Tease(rs):

Tease 1 (From Mia's POV)

The wicked quirk to his lips made my heart pound in anticipation as he lowered his head and kissed me. Slow. Sensual. Deep. The type of kiss that could make a girl forget everything but being naked and wet with a guy like Kye.

Tease 2 (From Kye's POV)

I kissed her. Grazing my lips over hers. Repeatedly. Deepening the pressure with every pass until her mouth opened. My tongue slipped in, touched hers and I lost it.
I ravaged her mouth. Long, deep, hot kisses.
She moaned when I groped her butt and pulled her flush against me, her thighs parting so I fit snug.
Damn, there was no f***ing way this could stop at a kiss.
I wrenched  my mouth from hers with difficulty. "Mia, we can't..."
"Ssh." She pressed a finger against my lips. "As much as I like hearing your accent, right now I want something else."

Although I come from the 'Land Down Under', I haven't read too many books where the love interest is Australian. Caught by the cover and intrigued by the blurb, I just had to read this one and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the banter between Mia and Kye. Their story is simple but written very effectively. I look forward to reading the next installment of this series.

My Rating: 4 out of 5.

TBR Tuesday #75 ~ Back in the Saddle (Jessica Brodie Diaries #1) by K.F. Breene

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

Back in the Saddle
(Jessica Brodie Diaries #1)
by
K.F. Breene

Jessica is no stranger to life giving her lemons. On the tail end of her latest bad decision, Jessica realizes she needs to make a life change. So when college finally ends, she packs up her life and heads to Texas for a fresh start. It is there she meets the most ruggedly handsome cowboy she's ever encountered. An entrepreneur with a million prospects, Jessica knows he's out of her league, but life, and an adventurous spirit, keeps driving her toward him, stumbling and laughing all the way. He can only resist her for so long.

This sounded like a fun read so I added it to my shelf a while back.
Hopefully, I will get to it soon.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!

Leave a comment and tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
