Book Boyfriend of the Week #22 ~ Rush from Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines

This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about there book boyfriends and tease the readers with things they've said.

Want to participate?

Then all you have to do is:

1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.
2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.
3) Pick a quote from his book, long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is.
4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises).
5) Share it! And shout it out using the #Reading and Things.

This week I would like you to meet:

Rush Finlay

He is a 'bad' boy
Sexy as Hell
And knows how to make a girl swoon.
He is addictive and totally irresistible.
But he also has a sensitive side and can be extremely possessive.

To want what you’re not supposed to have…

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes to tease you:

“Because I’ve had a taste and I’m not sharing. This isn’t just for fun. I may be slightly addicted.” (Rush)

* * *

“I don’t want to lose you. I’m in love with you Blaire. I’ve never wanted anything or anyone the way I want you. I can’t imagine my world now without you in it.” (Rush)

* * *

I sank down onto the bed against the headboard and leaned back. I crossed my legs underneath me. "Then we'll talk." I said with a smile.

Rush sat down onto the bed and leaned back against the wall. A deep chuckle came from his chest and I watched as a real smile broke out on his face. "I can't believe I just begged a female to sit and talk to me."

In all honesty, I couldn't either.

* * *

“You want to know what happened? YOU happened Rush. That's what happened.” (Blaire)

Okay!

My Swoon for this week comes from:

Fallen Too Far
(Too Far #1)

by
Abbi Glines

Warning: This book is recommended to 18+ readers due to its adult content.

.
First - The Blurb:

Second - The Swoon:

Rush didn't start off easy. His mouth was forceful and demanding. I was glad. It was romantic. it was real. He was also wearing his tongue barbell. I hadn't noticed it earlier but I felt it. The flick of his tongue was wicked with that thing involved. I liked tasting something I knew was unattainable.

Both of his hands cupped my face. His knees slowed and then he pulled back still holding my face in his hands. "Come with me upstairs. I want to show you my room," he flashed me a naughty smile, "and my bed."

Rush has been around the block many more than a few times, but when he meets Blaire, his whole world suddenly changes. Who said a bad boy couldn't be tamed.
I loved this book from start to end. Abbi has a great writing style and knows exactly how to draw you in.

My rating: 5 out of 5

My Tease for this week comes from:

Apollyon

(Covenant #4)

by
Jennifer L. Armentrout

First - The Blurb:

Fate isn't something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

Second - The Swoon:

He was done talking.

Aiden came off the wall so fast the water reacted in a frenzy of bubbling. He - we - were in a frenzy. His arms crushed me to him, his mouth demanding, saying those three little words over and over again without speaking them. Aiden  lifted me up, one hand burying deep in my hair, the other pressing into my lower back, fitting us together. He turned and my back was against the edge and he was everywhere all at once, stealing my breath, my heart, my soul. There was no coming up for air, no control or limits. There was no tottering on the edge. We both fell headfirst. In his arms, in the way the water bubbled and moved with our bodies, I may've lost track of time, but I gained a little part of me. I gained a part of him that I would hold close for the rest of my days, no matter how long or short that turned out to be.

I think it would be safe to say, that at this stage of the series, I'm definitely team Aiden.
Yeah, I did kind of like Seth at the beginning, but not so much now.

TBR Tuesday #29 ~ Fall Guy by Liz Reinhardt

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'. And look at the lovely personalized banner she created for me.

Thanks Sharrice. It's awesome!

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

Fall Guy
(Youngblood #1)

by
Liz Reinhardt

When Evan Lennox meets Winchester Youngblood . . .

Evan Lennox is going nowhere fast.

She's living with her grandparents after her parents bailed on her, she got kicked out of her posh private school, and her ex-boyfriend turned out to be a total sleaze. To top it all off, one teeny, tiny fire she lit to burn some memories of her ex goes out of control and lands Evan's pampered behind in court. She's sentenced to community service and dreading it.

Until she meets Winchester Youngblood on the site.

Everything about him is tricky, not what it seems, and so sexy, Evan can't resist pulling closer. But every step she takes to get to know him gives her more of a reason to back up. Because Winch is one hundred percent complicated, and Evan isn't looking for that. At all. She needs to meet a nice, responsible guy, not share searing kisses with the charming bad boy she met in court.

But Winch is so much more than what he seems, and Evan finds out that she's falling hard for the guy everyone underestimates and writes off. And Winch realizes that Evan is the one person who's ever challenged him to ask for more out of his life. With the odds stacked against them, Evan and Winch need to find out whether they have what it takes to fall for each other.

I picked this up a short while back. It's another one for my 2014 reading list.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
On your blog (and be sure to leave a link) tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
