Here’s this week’s question:

Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?

I can happily say, that so far, I have not encountered a series which has not kept my attention.
Admittedly, there are some which I find more captivating than others, but there are none which have caused me to ditch them before the final word.

Does that make me easy to please?
Maybe... Maybe not...

My Swoon for this week comes from

The Vincent Brothers

by
Abbi Glines

First - The Blurb:

Getting a boy to fall head-over-heels in love with you isn’t easy. Especially when he’s been in love with your cousin for as long as you can remember.

Lana has lived her life in her cousin’s shadow. Ashton always made perfect grades, had tons of friends, and looks model-perfect. And she’s always had Sawyer Vincent—the only boy Lana’s ever wanted—wrapped around her finger. But now things are different. Lana has a chance to make Sawyer see her, and she’s taking it. If only he’d get over Ashton—because Lana is sick of second-best.

Sawyer’s heart is broken. He’s lost his best girl to his best friend. And then Lana comes to town. Ashton’s cousin has always been sweet and soft-spoken, but now she’s drop-dead gorgeous as well. Sawyer doesn’t know if Lana can heal his broken heart, but spending time with her might at least make Ashton jealous.

What starts as a carefree fling becomes a lusty game of seduction. Sawyer and Lana may have different motives, but their scintillating hookups are the same kind of steamy. .
.

Second - My Swoon:

His tongue darted out and licked at the bottom lip and he groaned. Sawyer Vincent groaned as he licked and tasted my mouth. I pressed closer to him and ran my hands through his dark locks, hoping this kiss didn't end as abruptly as the last one had.

When his tongue swept into my mouth, I was the one to groan. He tasted like something dark and dangerous. Cautiously I touched my tongue to his. Both his hands gripped my waist and picked me up to straddle him as he ran his hands up my back and pulled me tighter against his chest. His mouth left mine, and I started to protest until he began trailing kisses across my jawline and softly nipped my earlobe and kissed a trail down my neck. I wriggled anxiously as heat pooled in my belly and a strange tingling began to occur between my legs.

'Dark and dangerous'... Mmmmmm....

Third - My Thoughts:

For those of you who don't know, The Vincent Brothers is a follow on from The Vincent Boys which I posted on Tuesday.

Did I like this book as much as the first? Definitely yes. Sawyer is just as swoon worthy as Beau.

The story continues six months after the first book. Still nursing a broken heart Sawyer looks for a distraction and finds it in Lana - his ex-girlfriends cousin. However, what started out as a summer fling turns into something far more intense.

Like the first book, this is told from two POV - Sawyer's and Lana's - which makes it an interesting read as you get to see what both of them are thinking.

Again like the first, I had a hard time putting this one down.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

This week's Tease comes from

The Vincent Boys
by
Abbi Glines

First - The Blurb:

Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no.

Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist....

Second - The Tease:

Beau's arm eventually slid down to settle on my shoulders. Absently he started tracing small circles on my upper arm. It was almost as if little jolts of electricity were zinging through my body. I hoped he couldn't tell my breathing was getting erratic. I closed my eyes and fantasized about how it would feel to run my hands under his T-shirt and touch the soft skin that covered his hard chest. I glanced up at him through my lashes and his attention was completely on the movie. He had no idea he was driving me crazy.

A little hint here. Beau was not as oblivious as Ashton thought.

Third - My Thoughts:

Okay, this is a book I had a really hard time putting down. Right from the first page, I was drawn into Ashton and Beau's world.
Ashton - finally realizing that she needs to be herself and stop pretending she's someone else, finds herself caught in a situation which can not end well.
Beau - finally unleashing his hidden feelings, must decide between the girl he has loved for most of his life and the cousin/best friend who has always stood by his side no matter what.

The story is told from both Ashton and Beau's POV which is great because you can tell what they are both thinking and feeling about each other and the predicament they are in. Neither of them wants to hurt Sawyer - Ashton's boyfriend / Beau's cousin - but can it be avoided?

I should warn that there are a few explicit scenes which may leave you breathless. (18+)

If you haven't read this book yet, then you really need to. Beau is a bad boy - but in a good way.

My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars
