Book Boyfriend of the Week #15 # ~ Thor & Loki

This is a meme created by Reading and Things for bloggers to talk about there book boyfriends and tease the readers with things they've said.

Want to participate?

Then all you have to do is:

1) Pick a book boyfriend, it can be from the book your currently reading or from one you've already read.
2) Write what kind of boyfriend he is, and if you want, say why you think that.
3) Pick a quote from his book, long or short, that proves he is the kind of boyfriend you said he is.
4) Make sure the quote, and the explanation DO NOT give away anything from the book (we want all of the twists and plot surprises to remain surprises).
5) Share it! And shout it out using the #Reading and Things.

This week I would like you to meet:

THOR & LOKI

Yeah, I realize that I'm deviating a little this week. Instead of giving you one Book Boyfriend I'm giving you two.
And they're not technically from books, but hey, after seeing

Thor - The Dark World

I couldn't resist.

So which one would you choose?

Tall, blonde and righteous.
 Or...
 Tall, dark and sinful.

Okay!
Now it's your turn. Who's your current book crush for this week? Please leave a link below.

This weeks question:

Vlog Feature: Tell us why you would be the best feature ever in a vlog. The best two will get picked for next week’s feature. If you do not want to participate, just tell us why you can’t be caught on video.

I currently do not have a camera attached to my computer screen.
So hence - no Vlog.
Guess I could have used my phone but I'm not very Tech savvy.

Hope you all have awesome weekend!!

My Swoon for this week comes from:

Existence
(Existence Trilogy #1)

by
Abbi Glines

First - The Blurb:

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

Second - The Swoon:

I took another step toward him. A growl erupted from his chest and he seized me in one swift movement. His mouth found mine instantly. His teeth nipped my bottom lip and then he gently swiped his tongue over the bite. My first taste of him sent my world spinning. Somehow I'd known it would be like this. I grabbed handfuls of Dank's shirt. I needed to keep him here against me, finally allowing me to have what I'd been craving. His arms tightened around me and I heard a moan in the darkness but I wasn't sure if it was his or mine. My purpose in life was complete. There was nothing else I wanted or desired more than this. There was a darkness pulling at us, I couldn't grasp what exactly but even through the haze of pleasure I knew it was there. Dank trailed kisses down my neck and murmured words I didn't understand. I released his shirt to grab his face, hungrily bringing his mouth back to mine. His hands slowly ran up my back and slipped over my ribs. My breath hitched as his thumbs grazed the bottom of my bra. Dank tore his mouth from mine, panting loudly. It thrilled me to see him as needy as I was for this.

Yeah folks - sorry it was a little long.

Teaser Tuesday #64 ~ Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Tease for this week comes from:

Falling Into You

(Falling #1)

by
Jasinda Wilder

First - The Blurb:

I wasn't always in love with Colton Calloway; I was in love with his younger brother, Kyle, first. Kyle was my first one true love, my first in every way.

Then, one stormy August night, he died, and the person I was died with him.

Colton didn't teach me how to live. He didn't heal the pain. He didn't make it okay. He taught me how to hurt, how to not be okay, and, eventually, how to let go.

Second - The Tease:

She's so goddamn beautiful. I'm lost in her eyes, unable to look away. Her lips, red, chapped, pursed, as if begging me to kiss her, are too close to ignore. I'm suddenly aware of her body against mine, her full breasts crushed against me, her leg, one round thigh, pale as whitest cream, draped over mine. Her palm, long fingers slightly curled, rest on my skin where she touches me. I'm not breathing. Literally, my breath is stuck in my throat, blocked by my heart, which has taken up residence in my trachea.

I want to kiss her. Need to. Or I might never breath again.

Third - My Thoughts:

This is a powerful and emotional story about love, loss and survival.

Nell and Kyle have been best friends for their entire lives. They were born two days apart. They Live next door to each other. And they are inseparable. At the tender age of sixteen, they discover that their emotions run much deeper than simple friendship. For two years they continue as a couple until tragedy strikes. Kyle is killed in a freak accident and Nell must learn how to survive on her own. (No spoiler here. It's in the blurb)

But how do you go on when the person who has been there your entire life is suddenly gone?

For two years, Nell struggles with her grief. Then, finding herself in the same city as Colton - Kyle's older brother - she finally finds someone who seems to understand her pain. With Colton's help, Nell learns that it's okay not to be okay. And that letting go, doesn't mean that your first love is forgotten.

My Rating: 5 out of 5

TBR Tuesday #19 ~ The Mystic Wolves by Belinda Boring

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'. And look at the lovely personalized banner she created for me.

Thanks Sharrice. It's awesome!

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

The Mystic Wolves
(Mystic Wolves #1)

byBelinda Boring

What would you do if a simple errand takes a deadly twist, turning you from cautious prey to dangerous predator?

Someone is trying to send a deadly message to Mason, arranging the deaths of those he loves and it puts the entire pack and Alpha on high alert. Darcy understands the primal instincts driving her beloved Mason's commands. With the help of those he sets as protectors, she learns about herself and the things she'll need to help support her Alpha and pack. When events turn dire however, one truth offers her strength - once given, oaths are unbreakable ... even if it means risking it all.

I got this for free on Amazon a while back . I liked the cover and I was enticed by the blurb. I'm looking forward to reading it. Just need to clear the decks a bit first. Needless to say, it is slowly making it's way up to the top of the pile.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
On your blog (and be sure to leave a link) tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
