Feature & Follow #15

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.
Here’s this week’s question:

Who is your to-die-for book crush? What do you think they look like? Add an image to make us all happy.

Oh my gosh! There are so many. I can't name just one. So if you all don't mind, I'm going to list a few.
In no particular order:
Patch from Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush series
Balthazar from Claudia Gray's Evernight series
Reed from Amy A. Bartol's Premonition series
Daemon from Jennifer L. Aremntrouts Lux series
And of course, I have to mention Shadow from my own novel - Mystery Falls
The actor I would choose to depict him would be
Ian Somerhalder

So what's your FF?

On Tuesday, I posted a Tease from
Claire de Lune
Today, my swoon comes from the second book in this series:
Christine Johnson

After the tragic events of the summer, Claire is looking forward to a new school year. All she wants to worry about is finding the most gorgeous dress to wear to the Autumn Ball with her perfect boyfriend.

But as Claire knows all too well, the life of a werewolf is never that simple, or that sweet.

When Claire’s human and wolf lives start to collide, her worst nightmares come true. She is hurting her best friend. She has been caught lying. And then the unthinkable happens: Someone discovers Claire’s secret.

If Claire’s werewolf identity is exposed, everyone she knows will be put at risk. And the pack’s response comes at a cost higher than Claire can imagine. Claire will be forced to determine just how far she is willing to go.
She hadn't exactly meant to sit in front of that cabinet, but the teasing intensity of the look Matthew gave her made her glad that she had. The tangle inside her melted under his gaze. Gently, he nudged Claire's knees apart and stepped closer, wrapping one arm around her hips and pulling her against him. His lips grazed her neck, tracing a path from just underneath her jaw to the top of her collarbone. She wrapped her arms around him as his mouth met hers with the sort of burning kiss that sent electric tingles through her every time.
"What about the lasagna?" she managed to whisper.
"Screw the lasagna." She wrapped her legs around him, and he lifted her off the counter. "Couch." He kissed her. "Now."

  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)

Recently, I purchased a copy of Nocturne by Christine Johnson.
It is the second book in a series of which I had already read the first. However, because it was several months ago and I could not remember the story in its entirety, I decided to spend a short while scanning the pages of the first book to refamiliarize myself. It is from these pages that I bring you this weeks Tease.
Claire de Lune
Christine Johnson

Torn between two destinies… Claire is having the perfect sixteenth birthday. Her pool party is a big success, and gorgeous Matthew keeps chatting and flirting with her as if she’s the only girl there. But that night, she discovers something that takes away all sense of normalcy: she’s a werewolf.

As Claire is initiated into the pack of female werewolves, she must deal not only with her changing identity, but also with a rogue werewolf who is putting everyone she knows in danger. Claire’s new life threatens her blossoming romance with Matthew, whose father is leading the werewolf hunt. Now burdened with a dark secret and pushing the boundaries of forbidden love, Claire is struggling to feel comfortable in either skin. With her lupine loyalty at odds with her human heart, she will make a choice that will change her forever...

The Tease:
Matthew slid off his pool chair into the water and swam over to her. "Sounds like it's been a bad parent day all around." He took her hands and gently pulled her off her floating chair. "Is there anything I can do?"
Claire leaned into his chest. "Distract me?" she suggested.
He smiled. "That could be arranged."

Stacking the Shelves # 11

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks.
Another busy week. Only managed to add one book to my shelf.
Bought this at the local bookstore.
(Book 2 in Claire de Lune series)
Christine Johnson

So what's on your shelf? I'd really like to know.
