My Swoon for this week comes from:

 Last Train Home
(Home #1)
by
Megan Nugen Isbell

First - The Blurb:

17-year-old Riley Regas has spent her entire life in Boston, so when she learns she’ll be picking up and moving to her mother’s childhood home of Carver, Kansas, she is less than thrilled. In fact, she is downright furious. Riley’s only visited Carver a handful of times. She barely knows her family that lives there and she has no desire to spend her senior year among the backward, simpleminded residents of Carver.

Reluctantly though, her views begin to change, despite her encounters with Adrienne, a girl Riley quickly realizes is determined to make her life miserable, when she meets Alex Bettencourt. Alex is popular and gorgeous and Riley’s never seen brown eyes quite like his before.

While Riley couldn’t be happier, she knows Jesse, her best friend in Carver, isn’t sure of her new relationship with Alex. She soon finds a balance between Alex and her friends though and life in Carver doesn’t seem so bad after all, even if her relationship with her mother is rocky at best.

Just when Riley thinks she might be happy in Carver, a single decision changes it all, leaving her to find out who she really is and who matters most in her life before she loses everything.

Second - The Swoon:

He raised his gaze so his eyes were staring into mine and suddenly all I could hear was the gentle sound of his breath.

"That's right. You're my friend... my good friend, Riley," he said quietly. His words came out unhurried and he slowly leaned in to me. His hand reached up and I felt his fingertips brush my cheek. He was cradling my face gently with his hands and I found myself wanting to be closer to him. Before I knew what was happening, our lips brushed tenderly. His kiss was warm and sweet and I couldn't move, and part of me didn't want to even as he carefully pulled back, separating us. I felt his hands release my face and I slowly opened my eyes to meet his. We stared at each other for what seemed like forever. He was smiling shyly. I smiled too.

This was one sweet moment. Not going to tell you though, who she was kissing.

Waiting on Wednesday #24 ~ End of Days (Penryn & the End of Days #3) by Susan Ee

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill of Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

This week I’m waiting on:

End of Days
(Penryn & the End of Days #3)
by
Susan Ee

Expected publication: May 12th, 2015 by Skyscape

End of Days is the explosive conclusion to Susan Ee’s bestselling Penryn & the End of Days trilogy.

After a daring escape from the angels, Penryn and Raffe are on the run. They’re both desperate to find a doctor who can reverse the twisted changes inflicted by the angels on Raffe and Penryn’s sister. As they set off in search of answers, a startling revelation about Raffe’s past unleashes dark forces that threaten them all.

When the angels release an apocalyptic nightmare onto humans, both sides are set on a path toward war. As unlikely alliances form and strategies shift, who will emerge victorious? Forced to pick sides in the fight for control of the earthly realm, Raffe and Penryn must choose: Their own kind, or each other?

I loved the first two books in this series, so yeah, why wouldn't I be waiting on this one.

Teaser Tuesday #131 ~ 3:AM Kisses (3:AM Kisses #1) by Addison Moore

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Tease for this week comes from:

3:AM Kisses
(3:AM Kisses #1)
by
Addison Moore

First - The Blurb:

Baya Brighton is looking forward to her first year at Whitney Briggs University, new friends, dorm life, and finally being close to her brother again. Love is the last thing on the list, but when Baya meets her brother’s roommate she begins to have thoughts and feelings that make even her blush.

Bryson Edwards has a secret he prefers buried in the past and long forgotten. He prefers loose girls, fast cars, and long nights working at the string of bars his family owns. When his roommate’s sister shows up on the scene, she’s far too innocent and sweet for him but he can’t shake Baya out of his mind and worse, it looks like she’s seeping into his heart as well.

Baya seems determined to show her brother she’s not a little kid and equally determined to use Bryson’s body to prove her point. It’s been made pretty clear that Baya is off limits to Bryson but their undeniable sparks explode into a whole lot more than just a few 3:AM KISSES.

New Adult *Intended for mature audiences.

Second - The Tease:

Deep down I know I have to have Baya. I need her to want me too, and I can’t figure out why the hell I feel this way after knowing her for less than a few hours. Baya Brighton has cast her spell whether she’s aware of it or not, and, now, the only thing left to do is to figure out how the hell to break it.
I don’t think I can.
I don’t think I want to.
... Bryson

This was a story I found difficult to take seriously. There were a lot of sexual innuendo's and after a while, they got to be a bit tiresome. However, if you're looking for a fun read with a little splash of romance and whole lot of sexual references, then this just might be the read for you.

My Rating: 3.5 out if 5

When you're lost, sometimes the only place you can go is home.

Broken over the death of her fiancé, Molly leaves law school to return to her childhood home in North Carolina. Expecting to lay low until she can figure out what else to do with her life, she finds herself in the arms of her high school sweetheart, the boy who represents everything from the past she tried to leave behind.

Looking for an escape, she instead finds a way back to the girl she almost forgot existed and a future she never dreamed possible.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
