My Swoon for this week comes from:

Love Is Relative
(Defining Love #1)

by
Haven Francis

First - The Blurb:

Contains adult content. Suited for ages 17 and up

LOVE IS RELATIVE (Defining Love, Book One)

When the one thing they want is the only thing they can't have, how far will Danny and Emily go to convince themselves that love is all that matters, even if it’s forbidden?

When Emily Winters returns home she thinks she knows what she's getting into. She's had three years to accept the fact that her former best friend/ love of her life/ boyfriend of exactly one day, Danny Donovan, is no longer any of those things to her.

In fact there is a good chance he hates her. There is an even better chance that he is her half-brother.

She thinks she knows what she is coming home to, but what she finds is the utter devastation that Danny's life has become thanks to the chain of events that Emily's mother set in motion three years ago. Danny has lost everything and Emily doesn't recognize the cold-hearted bad boy that Danny has become.

She can only resist his temptation for so long before the line that separates right from wrong becomes blurry and negotiable as she and Danny try to navigate around it.

When life in the small town of River Bluff becomes too much to handle, Danny and Emily are finally forced to deal, not only with their present, but also their past. When the truth of their sibling status is revealed will it tear them apart or allow them to finally be together in the only way they know how?

Second - The Swoon:

"Oh, God," he murmurs against my lips before taking the bottom one in his. It hurts; the pressure inside of me, his wet lips on mine. My hand moves to his hair and I have to fight to not pull too hard. His hand moves to the back of my neck and pulls me deeper into the his mouth. His tongue pushes against mine, I push right back. I can't get deep enough; I can't get enough of him. He hardens against my leg and I feel my moan all the way to the pit of my stomach. This feels so painfully good. Our mouths inside of each others feels so unfairly perfect.

Okay, I'm on the fence with this one. There were parts I liked. And parts I didn't. Without giving away any spoilers, that's all I can give you folks! I'll leave it to you to judge this one for yourselves.

Teaser Tuesday #103 ~ Kiss of Fire (Imdalind #1) by Rebecca Ethington

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Tease for this week comes from:

Kiss of Fire
(Imdalind #1)

by
Rebecca Ethington

First - The Blurb:

Joclyn Despain has been marred by a brand on her skin. She doesn't know why the mark appeared on her neck, but she doesn't want anyone to see it, including her best friend Ryland, who knows everything else about her. The scar is the reason she hides herself behind baggy clothes, and won't let the idea of kissing Ryland enter her mind, no matter how much she wants to.
The scar is the reason she is being hunted.

If only she knew that she was.

If only she had known that the cursed stone her estranged father sent for her 16th birthday would trigger a change in her. Now, she is being stalked by a tall blonde man, and is miraculously throwing her high school bully ten feet in the air.

Joclyn attempts to find some answers and the courage to follow her heart. When Ryland finds her scar; only he knows what it means, and who will kill her because of it.

Second - The Tease:

I'm in so much trouble, aren't I?" His warm breath tickled my ear as he whispered to me.

My heart sputtered. "You have no idea."

"Then, I might as well do this thing thoroughly." He set me down again and kissed my jaw line. His lips lingered for a second longer than they should have, freezing me into place. I just hoped I didn't look too much like a deer stuck in headlights.

Kiss of Fire started off slow but picked up pace after the halfway mark. I enjoyed the story line but would have liked to see a little more romance between Jos and Ryland. It was hinted at but never seemed to progress very far.

TBR Tuesday #58 ~ Learning to Breathe (Breathing #1) by Joanne McClean

My good friend Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction came up with the idea of 'TBR Tuesday'

If you want to join in the fun, then just do the following:
From your book shelf or your e-reader, pick a book that you own that is still on your TBR list. Post it however you want to, then leave a link below so others can see what's waiting to be read.

This week for me its:

Learning to Breathe
(Breathing #1)

by
Joanne McClean

Darcie Gilmore just wanted a fresh start.

When her mother packs them off to live in Dover Springs, Darcie is given the chance to start over.

However, having spent the last six months haunted by terrible nightmares and feeling isolated and alone, Darcie doubts that anything will be different. Even when she meets carefree Danny Fletcher, Darcie insists that she wants nothing to do with him.

But, when Darcie needs a favour and Danny is the only one who can help, the two must spend time together.
As they grow closer, Danny is determined to discover why Darcie is so private about her life but little does he know that he's not just breaking down her barriers ... he's helping her learn to breathe again.

SO NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!
Leave a comment and tell me what's waiting on your TBR pile.
