Best Cover?

What is the best cover of a book that you've read and didn't like?

 

I had a lot of trouble with this one because I have very few books on my shelves that I don't like. In fact, I have NO books on my shelves that I don't like. So having said that, I guess I have to bow out and let the rest of you decide. However, so that you're not too disappointed for having visited my blog, I have posted a cover of a book I am yet to read. I really like the cover and I look forward to reading the story.

Last week I chose to select my Swoon from Evernight by Claudia Gray. Having developed a fondness for Balthazar while reading this series, I decided that today, I would give him his say.

"Why were you distracted?" She lifted her face to him. "Why did you come after me?"

Balthazar paused one moment before confessing, "Because you were off with some other guy. I couldn't stand it. Skye..."

He didn't finish what he was going to say. He crushed her to him as his mouth closed over hers.

This time he didn't pull away after two kisses, or five, or ten. This time his hands brushed over her hair, outlined her back, traced her entire body. This time she didn't have to come to him. She could get lost in the wild tide that swept over them both, demanding that she touch him, kiss him again, breathe him in.

When his broad hand slid up her skirt to cup her thigh, she gasped in delight, but it shook him out of the trance. "Home," he said, hoarse and ragged. "I need to get you home."


Don't you just love it when a guy gets jealous and then takes control?

I'm sure many of you are familiar with The Fallen Series by Lauren Kate. Having recently completed the fourth book - Rapture, I have chosen to use it for my second Teaser Tuesday.

Daniel's eyes softened at the corners. "Sometimes the order of things gets mixed up in my head. I'll admit, I don't remember long stretches of time I've spent alone, but I can remember every first glimpse of your face, every kiss of your lips, every memory I've  ever made with you."
 
Luce didn't wait for Daniel to lean forward and kiss her. Instead, she pressed her lips to his, relishing his moan of surprised pleasure, wanting to cleanse him of any pain he'd ever felt at losing her.

If you have not yet read the series, then I would strongly recommend that you start at the beginning.
