Here’s this week’s question:

Happy Mother's Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?

Mmm... I don't actually have a favorite fiction mom.
I guess the one which stands out the most in my mind is Katy's mom in Obsidian (Kellie Swartz).
I like her character. She's kind, caring and seems pretty cool about most things. I particularly liked the way she tried to team  Katy with Daemon in the first few chapters of the book.

My Swoon for this week comes from

Easy
by
Tammara Webber

First - The Blurb:

Rescued by a stranger.
Haunted by a secret
Sometimes, love isn’t easy…

He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…

The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

A groundbreaking novel in the New Adult genre, Easy faces one girl's struggle to regain the trust she's lost, find the inner strength to fight back against an attacker, and accept the peace she finds in the arms of a secretive boy.

Second - The Swoon:

He leaned up on his elbow, closing the distance between us, pushing his hand into my hair and moving it to cup my face. "I did have one other concealed motive for bringing you here." Leaning down slowly, his lips met mine and the fire that had been embers since he left my room over a week ago flamed. I opened my mouth and his tongue pressed inside, stroked mine and withdrew. Turning his head, he moved his mouth over mine, sucking my lower lip into his mouth, caressing it with his tongue and releasing it to pay attention to the upper. His tongue ran over the sensitive space above my top teeth and I gasped.

And then his hand started moving.

Third - My Thoughts:

Okay, so this book is not one from my usual genre (Paranormal / Fantasy Romance) but after reading several compelling reviews and a few very swoon worthy moments (similar to the one above), I just had to give it a shot.

I found it to be an intense read, one filled not only with moments of overwhelming saddness and heartache, but also with deep passion and joy. Tammara is an extremmely talented writer and I was drawn into Jacqueline's world right from the start. Lucus is amazing and it is easy to see why Jacqueline feels safe around him.

I have to admit, I had a hard time putting this one down.

My Rating 5 out of 5

Today's Tease comes from

The Indigo Spell

by
Richelle Mead

First - The Blurb (Not that many of you will need it)

In the aftermath of a forbidden moment that rocked Sydney to her core, she finds herself struggling to draw the line between her Alchemist teachings and what her heart is urging her to do. Then she meets alluring, rebellious Marcus Finch--a former Alchemist who escaped against all odds, and is now on the run. Marcus wants to teach Sydney the secrets he claims the Alchemists are hiding from her. But as he pushes her to rebel against the people who raised her, Sydney finds that breaking free is harder than she thought. There is an old and mysterious magic rooted deeply within her. And as she searches for an evil magic user targeting powerful young witches, she realizes that her only hope is to embrace her magical blood--or else she might be next.

Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, the Bloodlines series explores all the friendship, romance, battles, and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive—this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

Second - The Tease: (Way over the two sentence limit)

I'd been so worried about the artistic challenge that I wasn't aware of just how close he'd moved to me until now. So many details came into focus. The shape of his lips, the line of his neck. "I'm not dangerous," I breathed.

He brought his face towards mine. "You are to me."

And somehow, against all reasons, we were kissing. I closed my eyes, and the world around me faded. The noise, the smoke... it was gone. All that mattered was the taste of his mouth, a mix of cloves and mints. There was a fierceness in his kiss, a desperation... and I answered, just as hungry for him. I didn't stop him when he pulled me closer, so that I almost sat on his lap. I'd never been wrapped around someone's body like that, and I was shocked at how eagerly mine responded. His arm went around my waist, pulling me onto him further, and his other hand slid up the back of my neck, getting entangled in my hair, Amazingly, the wig stayed on. He took his lips away from my mouth, gently trailing kisses down to my neck. I tipped my head back, gasping when the intensity returned to his mouth. There was an animalistic quality that sent shock waves through the rest of my body. Some Alchemist voice warned me that this was exactly how a vampire would feed, but I had no fear. Adrian wouldn't hurt me, and I needed to know just how hard he could kiss me and...

Sorry guys, I didn't stop it there. Richelle did.

Third - My Thoughts:

Okay, there is not much I'm going to say about this book other than - it is - AWESOME - AMAZING - and I can't wait for Book 4 - The Fiery Heart (Apparently told from both Sydney and Adrian's POV.

My Rating - Definitely 5 out of 5
