Stacking the Shelves # 31

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks.

Due to time constraints, I missed doing this meme the last couple of weeks.
However, managing to make a quick stop at the library this week, this is what I brought home:

The Vincent Boys
The Vincent Brothers
both by
Abbi Glines

&
Touch of Frost
Kiss of Frost
Dark Frost
Crimson Frost
all by
Jennifer Estep

Okay! So what did you add to your shelf this week?
I'd really like to know.

* ~ * ~ * ~ *

Here’s this week’s question:

What blogger would you most like to meet in real life? Tell us about him or her.

Oh my gosh, this is a tough question for me because I have made so many friends and it would be great to get together with some of them in person.

In the hope that I'm not offending anyone by leaving them out, here are just a few:

Naomi from Nomi's Paranormal Palace.

Sharrice from Reese's Reviews: My Addiction to Fiction.

Angela from The Reading Cave

Valarie from Stuck In Books

 Vonnie from Vonnie's Reading Corner

Teresa form Readers Live A Thousand Lives

You are awesome girls and it would be great to be able to get together and have a chat.

My Swoon for this week comes from

Prophecy - Child of Light

by
F. E. Heaton

First - The Blurb:

A vampire unlike any other, Prophecy lives life in the dark until the night she encounters a sensual dark-haired vampire who is both her enemy and the man who will change her world forever.

A loyal hunter for the Aurorea bloodline, Valentine is bound by duty to report her as the vampire of the prophecy, but he cannot shake the vision of them he saw in her blood. Torn between duty and desire, and determined to uncover the truth, Valentine goes against his order to execute her and kidnaps the beautiful Caelestis female instead.

Thrust into a terrifying world where the seven bloodlines and the Law Keepers are hunting her and her only hope for survival is Valentine, Prophecy battles her temptation to surrender to her illicit attraction to him and fights for her future.

When she discovers her extraordinary destiny, will she be strong enough to embrace it and stop a deadly war from igniting?

Second - The Swoon:

She closed her eyes when his lips brushed against hers in a tender kiss and she leaned into it, her own mouth exploring his. He released her other hand and she wrapped it around his neck, holding onto him while he encircled her waist with his arm and lifted her off the floor. She clung to him, her body moulded against his and their lips fused together in a kiss that began to turn passionate.

Her whole body felt warm and the stars on her skin burned in response to the feelings of elation running through her. Tracing her tongue along his lower lip, a thrill ran down her spine when his met it. Her fingers buried themselves in his hair, holding him against her mouth so that she could make the most of what was happening.

Third - My Thoughts:

Prophecy - The Child of Light is the first book in the Vampires Realm Trilogy.

At the beginning of the story, we are introduced to Prophecy, a young vampire who can't remember any of her human life and has been kept a prisoner in her home for the past 20 years. Finally daring to escape, she comes across a drunk man in a cemetary and makes her first kill.

Valentine, a 300 year old vampire who is from a rival family, sees her and is intrigued. Unable to resist the draw of her blood, he bites her. On consuming her blood, he discovers her identity. Reporting back to his leader, he is ordered to kill her but he cannot go through with it. Deciding to save her instead, the two of them embark on a journey which not only sees them forming a connection which is forbidden, but also begins to uncover the real reason for her existence.

I enjoyed the  story but found it a little slow paced. The cover eludes to a romantic entanglement, but to my disappointment, there were not too many swoon worthy moments.

My Rating for this one: 4 out of 5 stars.

This week's Tease comes from
Wicked Fate
by
Tabatha Vargo
The Blurb:

What if you lived in fear of yourself?

For Mage McPherson being afraid of herself is just the norm. Thanks to that fear, being a loner in a small town never bothered the mysterious Mage. Once she received her secret abilities, she figured being alone was the safest way to be. That all changes during her sophomore year at Summerville High when Adam, her equally mysterious secret crush, starts to notice her.

Afraid that she might harm Adam, Mage must learn to either control or deny herself. With Adam by her side she's more powerful than she’s ever been, but is she powerful enough to defeat her worst nightmare? She learns a hard lesson about love and magic when her destiny comes to collect.

The Tease:

I find myself staring at his full mouth. His tongue peeks out at the corner for a minute giving me an actual physical reaction. The light layer of dark hair above his perky top lip begs to be kissed. A sexy smirk develops letting me know I've been busted staring at his mouth inappropriately.

My eyes search for a neutral place to land, but when it comes to Adam, every part of him invokes lust.
