Swoon Thursday #6 Kiss Of The Beast

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme. Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog!

Kiss of the Beast
by
 Mallory Rush

I found this book while browsing the iBookstore. It was not quite what I expected, but nevertheless, it proved to be an interesting read. Here's one of the many swoon worthy moments located between the pages.

"But it's not an illness. Falling in love is a wonderful thing. Even when it's horrible, it's wonderful."

"I've never been 'in love'. Does it hurt?"

"Sometimes," she whispered, looping her arms around his neck. "It hurts when your love isn't returned. And it hurts when it is. But that's a good hurt, feeling your heart so full that you want to cry with joy."

"To cry... with joy. Such a contradiction. I've never cried before," he confided between eating kisses. "Lips on lips and tongues stroking tongues, I've never experienced anything like it. It's too wonderful to even describe." His palm to her breast, he gently squeezed, savored the stolen touch that called to the beast who lightly pawed at her breast. "How did I ever live without this? Eva, what do you do to me?"

"I can only hope it's half of what you're doing to me," she moaned, urging his other hand to her belly. "You make me ache. Can you hear my womb crying for you?"

"Yes," he said in a hush as the scent of her arousal augmented his own.

Teaser Tuesday #6 Inescapable

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a eBook copy of:

 Inescapable
by
Amy A. Bartol.

At the time that I entered the draw, I did not know too much about this book. It was only after reading a deleted scene posted by SupaGurl, that I actually became captivated and wanted to learn more.
And I have to say, I was not disappointed.
Inescapable is a great read and I highly recommend it.
So for today's teaser, here's a little taste.

Drawing back from me, Reed's eyes meet mine; his are sage green and at their centers, midnight. My fingertips feel cool against the warmth of his skin as they slip behind his neck. Leaning forward, I graze my lips over his again, and like a stone wall slowly battered by the elements, something collapses between us. He pulls me to him urgently, and then... hellfire.

Stacking The Shelves #3

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of time this week to seek out  a stack of new books to add to my shelf.
Here are the two I did manage to find.

Broken
by
Dean Murray

Prince of Wolves
by
Quinn Loftis

So what's on your shelf? I'd really like to know.
