Here’s this week’s question:
Today is the US’ Independence Day. Share your favorite book with a war in it, or an overthrow of the government.

My choice of book for this question was easy.

Gone With The Wind

by
Margaret Mitchell

Gone With the Wind has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. I have two copies. One well worn from the numerous times I've read it. And one still in brand new condition.

  1. It was a bit of a hard one. Good choice though.

  2. Excellent choice. Gone with the Wind is an absolute classic set in a war that nearly tore us apart.

(Little note. It is hard to click links with your custom curser. You have to aim the curser much lower than the feather implies.)

  5. What a great choice Marilyn! I love Gone with the Wind too and have several copies as well :) I've always had a fascination with the Civil War period and the politics surrounding it. Have a great weekend!

  10. I sadly have not read this! I've only watched the movie once. But I love reading about the Civil War, so I definitely should pick it up sometime!

  11. I have to admit that I haven't read this one, I've always wanted to, but have just been a little intimidated by the length. I love that you have two copies - I'm the same with a couple of Jane Austens :D

Thanks for stopping by My FF :)
