Weekend Reminisces #3

Hey, it's Friday, the start of the weekend.
Sorry, I guess I'm not really telling you any  thing you don't already know.
So... lets focus on what's new this week.

What book(s) did I add to my shelf?

Me Before You
(Me Before You #1)
by
Jojo Moyes

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

After You
(Me Before You #2)
by
Jojo Moyes

The long-awaited sequel to the worldwide phenomenon Me Before You.

Louisa Clark is no longer just an ordinary girl living an ordinary life. After the six months spent with Will Traynor, she is struggling without him. And when an extraordinary accident forces Lou to return home to her family, she can't help but feel she's right back where she started.

In a church basement, with the motley crew of the support group Moving On, Lou attempts to kick-start her life again. And when she meets strong, capable Sam Fielding things seem like they are going in the right direction. This is until a figure from Will's past appears out of the blue . .

What did I finish reading?

A Court of Mist and Fury
(A Court of Thorns and Roses #2)
by
Sarah J. Maas

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

My Tease:

(?) twisted in his seat toward me. "And now?"

Aware of every breath, every moment, I sat in his lap. His hands gently braced my hips as I studied his face. "And now I want you to know, (?), that I love you. I want you to know…" His lips trembled, and I brushed away the tear that escaped down his cheek. "I want you to know," I whispered, "that I'm broken and healing, but every piece of my heart belongs to you. And I am honored –honored to be your mate."

His arms wrapped around me and he pressed his forehead to my shoulder, his body shaking. I stroked a hand through his silken hair.

"I love you," I said again. I hadn't dared to say the words in my head. "And I’d endure every second of it over again so I could find you. And if war comes, we’ll face it. Together. I won’t let them take me from you. And I won’t let you from me, either."

If you have read ACOMAF, you will know to whom Feyre is speaking. I didn't want to include their name for fear of spoiling it for the rest of you.

An awesome continuation of this series. Definitely not quite what I was expecting.
