Swoon Thursday # 151 ~ Catching Fire (The Hunger Games #2) by Suzanne Collins

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme.

Here's how it works. From the book you're currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag#YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog!

My Swoon for this week comes from:

Catching Fire
(The Hunger Games #2)
by
Suzanne Collins

First - The Blurb:

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are still alive. Katniss should be relieved, but now there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol - a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may have helped create.

As the nation watches Katniss and Peeta, the stakes are higher than ever. One false move and the consequences will be unimaginable.

Second - The Swoon:

Suddenly, he took my face in his hands and kissed me.
I was completely unprepared. You would think that after all the hours I'd spent with Gale - watching him talk and laugh and frown - that I would know all there was to know about his lips. But I hadn't imagined how warm they would feel pressed against my own. Or how those hands, which could set the most intricate snares, could as easily trap me. I think I made some sort of noise in the back of my throat, and I vaguely remember my fingers, curled tightly closed, resting on his chest. Then he let go and said, "I had to do that. At least once." And he was gone.

Although I like Peeta, I must admit, I would prefer it if Katniss ended up with Gale. Some how, I think he is better suited to her.

My Rating for Book 2: 4 out of 5

  1. YES! I wanted her to end up with Gale as well. I never really liked Peeta at all... *hides*

  3. I am so undecided on the Peeta vs. Gale debate. I get what you're saying but I think because Peeta was in the games with her he could better relate.
