Feature & Follow # 51

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

This week's question will be a share:

Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

Mmm... what have I learnt about blogging in the last month?

I've discovered that if I prepare all my posts on one day of the weekend for the following week, then it frees me up for the rest of that week to work on my novel and other things - like reading. It also means that if something unexpected or unanticipated happens, then I don't have to stress over preparing a post because it's already done. Mind you, this does mean that I need to keep myself well organized.

  1. I do the same thing. Weekends are the best for me. It's hard when some blog tours decide to give you media kits two days before it's supposed to be posted. :/

  3. I absolutely agree. I usually try to plan out my week and schedule my posts so that I have more time to actually read and get other things done. New follower on bloglovin.

  4. I'm trying to get to a point where I'm at least a week ahead on my posts too. It's so hard though! I think because I'm a perfectionist and I end up taking too much time on all my posts. Great goal though!

  5. I think it is essential to get posts done early, that way if something comes up you don't worry about it too much. I try to get almost 2 weeks ahead now.... schedule and forget!! lol

  6. That makes a lot of sense because I'm working on several novels as well as blogging so it can get hectic. So scheduling helps a lot. Good answer :)

  10. I do the same thing! And depending on how many posts I have scheduled for the coming week I may break it up to do so many on Saturday and then so many on Sunday so I can still focus on other things too. It doesn't always happen, but I try to have everything ready to go for the next week by Sunday night.

    Have a wonderful weekend Marilyn!!!

  12. That's really good. I hope I could do this too, but I don't have a plan on my mind. I write a post the moment it comes to mind and then I upload it.

If I did it your way too, I would probably had more time for my novel too. :)
