Feature & Follow #6

Feature & Follow is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. The purpose is to meet new people and gain more followers in the book blogging community. If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers. But you have to know, the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

Here’s this week’s question:

What hyped up book do you think was worth all of the fuss?

To answer this question I would have to say that there isn't just one - there are many. However, since I can't list them all because it would take too long, I have selected a few of my favorites. I should add that those listed are not in any particular order.

Oooo!! Got to love Patch. He's so cool!!

Yeah, I know. This one didn't rate so well last week. But what can I say. I still have a soft spot for it.

Harry Potter - How can you not like Harry Potter.
And Dobby - he's so cute.

What's your FF?

Swoon Thursday #5 Desires Of The Dead

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme. Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.

Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog!

Recently, I completed The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. Having found it an enjoyable read, I moved onto Desires of the Dead - the second book in the series.
And so it is from this novel, that I have selected this weeks SWOON.

He kissed her, at first quickly. Then the kiss deepened, and she heard him groan. This time, when he pulled back, there was indecision in his eyes.

Violet wanted to say something sarcastic and sharp-witted to lighten the mood, but with Jay staring at her like that, any hope of finding a clever response was lost. She could feel herself disappearing into the depths of that uncertain look.

She ignored the common sense that warned her not to lean in for another kiss. She much preferred giving in to that other part of her. The part that wanted more, the part that told her: Don't stop.

And when Jay didn't back away either, she realized that she wasn't the only one who was disregarding logic tonight.

Would you like to disgard a little logic tonight??

Teaser Tuesday # 5 The Body Finder

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Today, my Tease comes from a book I just finished -
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting.
Not quite what I was expecting, it proved to be an interesting read which I enjoyed it.

She smiled, desperately wishing he'd touch her again. She hoped he couldn't see that in her face too. "I just don't want anything bad between us," she offered by the way of an explanation.

"I know." He reached out, capturing her hand in his. He laced his fingers casually through hers.

Violet leaned against him and the calm finally came, settling over her peacefully.

And then he kissed her.

Stacking The Shelves #2

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks.

This week I picked up a few more books to add to my TBR list. Not exactly sure when I'm going to get the time to read them all. I desperately need more hours in the day.
